A Bird's Eye View of Ste. Genevieve

Greetings!  My name is Erich Vieth and I am one of the lucky artists whose art work is on display at the newly renovated Silver Sycamore Gallery of Fine Art.  Last Sunday I jumped at the invitation to join Gallery Co-Owner Leon Basler as he piloted his Cessna C-172N airplane over the gorgeous landscapes surrounding Ste. Genevieve.

Because my genre is photography, I brought my camera along for this sunset flight. Leon suggested that I post some of my photos from that flight as a “virtual gallery.”

If you have never before seen Ste. Genevieve from the air, you are in for a treat. As you can see from these images, the shadows grew long and the vibrant landscape performed majestically. You’ll see about 30 photos in this clickable gallery, including rainbow hued farmland, city-scapes, the meandering Mississippi River (including bridges, a sand-dredging barge and the lock and dam).

Enjoy!
