There is a story in every painting I do. If it’s nostalgic, all the better. I consider myself a Regionalist painter, but painting scenes from travels to my homeland of Germany is also high on my list. Working on location to capture the light and the atmosphere over a short period of time gives my paintings a more natural feel, allowing each stroke to become richer, stronger, and more expressive.
