Longer Description from the website of the Decatur Arts Council:
After shooting photos in the park between September 2020 and October 2021, Vieth spent a pandemic “sabbatical” creating digital artwork from the images. He interprets the trees of Yellowstone as sculptures in and of themselves, manipulating the images to tease out form and texture, which might not otherwise be obvious. You will never look at dead trees in the same way again after experiencing his perspectives. The photography, as well as the collection in book form, will be available for sale.
First Friday Gallery Walk Reception: Friday, February 2, 5-7 pm, Anne Lloyd Gallery.”
